Start your business in Florida

Check the city and county where you will operate. Miami-Dade is one example of a local limousine licensing system; its requirements should not be applied to all of Florida.

Register your business

Review business structures and registration through Sunbiz. Confirm any local business tax receipt or municipal business license for your location.

Confirm your operating permits

Miami-Dade requires limousine vehicle licenses and chauffeur registration. Elsewhere, ask your city or county which permits apply.

Prepare your vehicle and insurance

Check local vehicle, inspection and insurance requirements before buying. Miami-Dade publishes sedan/SUV eligibility and requires inspections and operating decals.

Check airport access

Airport permission is a separate check. Review commercial transportation access with each airport you plan to serve, including Miami or Orlando when relevant.

Prepare for your first bookings

Once you have the required permits and insurance, give customers a clear way to find your company and book with you.

  • Set your services, coverage area, prices and cancellation policies.
  • Share your booking page with your contacts, hotels and local businesses.
  • Ask for reviews after trips and follow up with your customers.
How to manage bookings

Manage your company with PrivyRides

Organize your customers, bookings, prices and payments. With the applicable plan and a published profile, you can list your company in the marketplace and offer booking on your website.

Customers choose the company. Your company provides transportation and maintains its permits and insurance; a listing does not guarantee bookings.
